Hands On Earth Organic is passionate about holistic, sustainable, organic growing for your home garden, using permaculture principles and a natural approach to maintain a garden that grows a capacity to feed and nourish your family.
We wish to provide you not only a beautiful garden, but also the knowledge and the tools on how you can maintain it yourself in a way that inspires you to connect with the earth, and grow your food with all the love and joy you wish to receive from it.
Landscaping focused on setting up a vegetable garden, food forest, herb garden
Turn your back yard to a sustainable food garden, or a beautiful food forest, grow your favourite vegetables and fruit, and have a beautiful colourful looking space too. We offer a custom made design for your own space and according to your own needs
Maintenance of your garden (veggie garden, fruit trees etc.)
Schedule an on going service to keep your veggies alive, keep up with maintenance and monitor pests and diseases if needed. Offering sessions to help you learn as we go all you need to know about growing, pruning, fertilising, watering etc.
Educative sessions for setting up your own garden and using organic methods
We offer full lessons and working bees with individuals and groups - Meeting together to work and learn as we go -So you get to enjoy the process and learn how to do it yourself. It’s a very fun learning through putting all hands on together.
Setting up Composting System and Worm Farms
Setting up your compost systems or worm farm, taking into consideration the right location so you can comfortably use and implement this beautiful tool in your garden - Turn your food scraps into a magic elixir for your plants!
We encourage and teach you how to make it work as well as all you need to know in order to maintain an effective compost. There are so many different ways to create this within your garden, we work with your needs and preferences to customise the creation of your composing system.
Working bees with groups and individuals
We love working in groups and make a fun day out of it! Sharing these techniques and skills is our mission.
We offer full days, half days or more for bigger projects too where we can go through many topics and get to practice them together.
Consulting
One on one sessions of consulting, whether you need to get down to a specific topic, the design process, problem solving or just a need of some guidance, we will do our best to give you the tools you are seeking.
Medicinal and culinary herbs gardens
Herbs are much more than a bunch of leaves or a powder in a plastic bag, you can grow most of them by yourself with minimal effort. Herbs are very beautiful flowering plans that attract pollinators and good insects to your garden!
It is so satisfying to just simply go out and pick your herbs fresh to use in your cooking, teas and all the other wonders herbs are used for. We encourage you to grow your own herbs and offer beautiful designs and ideas in which you could add then into your garden, plate and life.
Soil Analysis & Restoration
It all starts in the soil - as much as “we are what we eat” - so are the plants!
Healthy and balanced soil is of great importance in a garden and often is the basics foundation to start with. We look at the soil, analyse it, and guide you on how to maintain it, how to “fix” or balance it, and how to improve it and nourish it so our plants and veggies stay healthy and strong.
Eco - Pest control and solutions
Using ecological solutions to maintain plant health, and implementing preventative techniques to keep our garden pests and disease free as much as we can.
